Our Osama Opinion..Caution: Extremely Conservative Content.

My Youngin Hubby and about 1/3 of his Platoon in Iraq

This post may irritate or offend some, but this is not personal and is mostly directed at the media...

A lot of people have been sharing their views on Osama being killed. We should celebrate, we shouldn't celebrate. Yada yada.

The fact is that I am actually quite offended at people who put their own selfish opinions above the reality that is striking against our military. The reason i am so fired up about this is because my husband was one of those men. I know i have sung his praises before, but I don't think that Evan ever should stop being appreciated for what he and countless other men and women did. Maybe its because i know the stories in detail. Maybe its because I love him so much, but I cant stand the lack of respect some people show to our servicemen while at the same time they "thank" them on Veterans day. That's not Patriotism. That's like going to church 2 times a year on Christmas and Easter and saying you a devout follower... wont mention a religion because I'm being PC. Ok, That's about all the PC i have...

Let me throw a name out at ya...

Hitler.

This man was equally as evil as Osama Bin Laden but in different ways and in a different era. He killed millions because it was easier to do back then. No one could report to the news about it and have it broad casted around the world on utube in 30 seconds. He took advantage of the poor and hungry of that time turning them into devout followers. They felt protected under this madman.

Osama is no different. He hates Christians and Americans. yes my friends that is you and me. you are probably one or the other. he would have taken pleasure in killing you if he had the chance. You are no more special than the vermin that infest their land. Its just a lot harder to carry out a mass extermination these days.

So.... Hitler. When he was dead, did we as Americans question whether or not to celebrate? Did we ask if the attack was legal? Were wives and mothers not eager to have their loved ones home and safe? NO. We had parades! We banned together no matter what religion or station because America was a people of sacrifice in those times. Sacrifice was no stranger in those days anyways.

We look at WW2 pictures of war torn country side and watch the latest war series to come out, showing gore beyond measure. We accept these images and films as the truth of war. What makes it more acceptable is that it is in the past. Something that is more like fiction to us than reality. This was reality to our grandparents. They do not complain about the gore that is shown. They choose to watch or not to watch but don't make a fuss about it. It is in the memory of those fallen. It is time to stop living in a false reality of sunshine and giggles. Yes, be a happy person. Be a good person. Be an optimist! That is all great. Just know what reality is and don't deny recognition to those who have to live it.

War has not changed. It is still the bloody monstrous thing that you see in films. Technology has made things a bit cleaner. The jungles and grasslands have been traded in for sand dunes and a hot sun. The enemy has not changed. They will kill themselves to kill you. The biggest difference is the media. Our enemy uses our own media against us. American media is among the most moronic industries in the world. They twist things in a way that most people would call lying. They are cowards, afraid of standing strong on anything, yet spew venom upon our leadership. They celebrate death all the time. We watch. They are neither cold or hot. Luke warm. I don't need to say the rest. Yet we hang on their every word. Yes, of course there are those who are the exception! I say that for those who will only argue for political correctness...BUT this is a blog, I have the right to free speech and will not entertain any such trivial arguments...now I'm out of PC'ness.

Here are some more words.

Pearl Harbor.

9/11.

Two horrifying Surprise attacks on U.S. soil taking thousands upon thousands of lives.

We answered Japan as a country unified. We stood up strong, no matter the cost and hit them in the heart. We told them that this was not tolerated nor acceptable Human behavior. We then went on to fight for Humanity. No one complained. They just did their job. Just because it is "history" doesn't mean it was any different than what we went to Iraq for.

We as a country "forget" way too easily. lots of people ask, " Why did we go to war?"

How could we NOT go to war?!?! We were attacked in our heart. BY SURPRISE! WITH OUR OWN PLANES! There were not too many Americans out there who didn't want us to retaliate. Accept Susan Sarandon....and Barbara Streisand.

The purpose for going into such a hazardous environment was not for our egos or for political correctness, but for Justice. It was for the same reasons that we as a nation defended ourselves against the evils that were presented upon us by Japan and then the threat against humanity by Hitler. This my friends, THIS is what made us the " Super Power" in the world. By helping others we helped ourselves. Are we not a country made up of other countries? We are in essence defending our heritage across the globe. We are standing for what is right. Justice for All. Not just on U.S. soil and make no mistake, our soil CAN be taken away from us if we do not defend it, just as our freedom was taken on Dec 7, 1941 and September 11, 2001.

I just ask that before anyone speaks about what THEY want out of the war or what THEY think is right, that they sincerely consider who is REALLY paying the price. Suddenly your opinion doesn't mean squat. Here is another thing to think about... Don't feel sorry for the troops out there. I asked Evan if he ever felt that he shouldn't be over there fighting or if any soldiers didn't want to be there. He replied saying that there were very very few who "wussed" out and wanted to go home. Almost all of us wanted to be there. It was our job. We were dedicated to defending the country.... They chose this job. This is what they signed up for. They are soldiers. They are not over there complaining about being there to defend human rights. How do we have more of a say than THEY do? Don't try and take away their glory. Give them their victory. Don't question if it was "legal". Terrorism does not follow our laws. Don't analyze if it should be "done with" in the media. You are disrespecting everything that was done. It is not about you. It is not about me. Yes, there is danger of retaliation. That is something that our servicemen and women are trained to deal with. They are strong. They are ready. The fact is that we are not the ones actually out there and cannot pretend that our fears are more important than those who are being BRAVE over there.

So... Osama is dead. Good job guys! celebrate as much as you want. Thanks for burying him. Thanks for the truth that has been shared with Americans. So much has been hidden from the American public, but for good reason since a lot of the American public cant handle the truth haha... gruesome or not, this image of Osama in his death is necessary. No one has to look at it if they don't want to. Those who don't agree with the release need to just not look at it. Very simple. The fact of the matter is that it is the truth and that a lot of people need to see it for closure in the murders of their loved ones and they have the right to see it.

For those of us who are Christian, We should be rejoicing that an enemy of the Lord is gone and discovering what hell is like. No virgins...Pretty sure Hell is filled with town bicycles....DANG IT! haha...Seriously though, Christ is not afraid of the gruesome. The bible is full of all kinds of not so pleasant scenes including umm...the Crucifixion that we all just remembered on Good Friday. The thing that I cannot get out of my head is that this man HATED those who love the Lord. He HATED America because of our support of Israel. The promised land. He declared war on us. This is very personal to me as a Christian. I feel like I can celebrate in the victory of Good vs. Evil. Lord knows we needed it after 10 years of war with NOTHING to show accept dead Americans & debt, well, with a speed bump of Saddam's death i guess. We look around us and see the bad things happening in the world and even in our own nation. The tsunami, the 312 tornados, the earthquakes, the fires, the flooding. We see the end times approaching. Then we had last week.... The Royal Wedding( i know this sounds silly but it stills as a ray of sunshine) and Osama's death! It was a good week! A week of hope for the world" I think I will celebrate this in my heart for some time to come. Celebrate for my sweet husband whose life was changed by his experience with the evil over there. After all, what do we have if we do not keep alive our victories and dwell on defeats.
